    It looks better in the non-studio setting, but, seriously, there was nothing to gain from their insistence in that weird cutout on the headlights.


    Other than that, yeah. Not bad.

    It looks very promising! So much more character than the boringly bland 350.

    I like the head light and the tails lights.. I like the shape of them... they could have been a tad smaller...

    I'm not entirely hating the light treatment, but it does seem more like a design affectation than a solid design. So I fixed it... check it out, I think everyone can agree, this is much better, damn hot even:

    I'm diggin' it. Except the lights, that is. I especially like the funky little quarter windows, they really recall the 240Z.

    So the headlights look like shit. And the taillights... well, they look like shit. Those door handles really look like shit.


    But the rest of the car is brilliant. Like a Crossfire, without everything being ribbed for nobody's pleasure. I'd hit that.

    Hey guys.. got a great idea for a car.. you remember those porsche 928 things.. you know... 80's.. kinda rounded, and long curves.. classic lines.. you know the car.. we'll take that, and then shove a corporate fascia on it.. and put big shark tooth lights on the front and back.. they'll kinda look like sideways `7s` anyway.. we can call it.. the 370z... see what i'm doin there.. 3`7`0z.. aw man.. this is going to be great.. Porsche had it wrong all along.. shark tooth 7's.. that's the key.. thats what it needs. Sure the germans can make a good car.. but us japanese.. we can give it style!

    @kors: Compared to those lopsided boomerangs, I'd prefer boring, thanks. The last place a boomerang taillight looked right was on a '58 Edsel station wagon...

    @Charles_Barrett - Now with Variable-Valve Timing: My favorite Michael Jackson joke was a cartoon. It was Bubbles the chimp, and a pair of detectives had him in an interrogation room. They were showing him a "Curious George" doll, and the caption was "He touched you where?"


    My wife's favorite joke is "Why does Michael Skakel cry during sex? Because of the pepper spray." That always extorts a chuckle from the lass.

    With the car sitting that high it looks like it's sat on cotton reels. Which brings me on to possibly the cheapest looking wheels i've seen on a production car in a long time.

    I'm with Dearthair, I actually like this.


    Although I sincerely believe that in the not-too-distant future the whole rear quarter panel of cars will be tail lights and side lights; and the entire front fenders up to the A pillars will be head lights plus a turn signal.

    If you re-did the head and tail lights, it would be fine.


    Then again, if you re-did the head and tail lights, you would end up with the pre-facelift Zed car, with .2 more litres.
