    ok so with 400hp/liter, if they could do that to a Mustang GT 4.6L it would produce 1840hp. Suck on that Bugatti. Even better, a GT500 would put out 2160hp. Holy shit.. *pinches self* please be real please be real...

    I would love to see the Pikes Peak hillclimb. I guess they run everything from these screamers to vintage cars, just all kinds of wild machinery going sideways in the dirt at crazy speeds with a huge dropoff just inches away. It's got to be an experience.

    Wait, the press release says it is motivated by a 1.6L engine. That makes it 500 HP/L.

    @FasterThanJamesMay: "The Olsbergs MSE Fiesta Rallycross car is based on both the Fiesta hatchback model road cars. The all-wheel-drive Fiestas are powered by a 2.0-liter Duratec Ford engine capable of more than 800 horsepower."


    The production Fiestas are powered by 1.6 liter fours, these get the slightly bigger, more race developed Duratecs.

    Nice mention of S2000...which is noteworthy because it's normally aspirated (apples and oranges). With forced injection, that stat isn't very meaningful because your only limitations are the strength of the internals. Still absolutely freaking amazing...and from only FOUR cylinders, too.
