Which works out fine, since dogs love trucks.

I listened to Car Talk about a month ago and there was a woman who had a dog that rode halfway across country on top of the cab of her pickup. Train your dog to do the same and it won't matter what you drive. It may matter how you drive, but not what. Then when it's time to hoon just leave the dog at home.

It sounds like a pretty cool car, but for that price, I would rather have a Camaro SS with a 400hp small block and blow the doors off the Z.
There has to be something that makes the Z worth that kind of money when compared to its competition. What it is, I don't know, but I suppose that time will tell.

The Zeta architecture that underpins the new Camaro has the same IRS that allowed a G8 to take on a BMW.
Even the fourth-gen, solid-axle cars could handle as well as any Supra.
That stereotype of poor cornering died a long time ago. Time to move on.

Numbers don't tell the entire story.

No, it does not disprove the cornering abilities of the Z. What it does disprove is the dumbass notion that you can get an accurate assesment of a car's performance based on reading a skidpad score. And the article does that quite nicely.
It also disproves the dumbass notion that just because it is a car with an American badge on it does not mean that a car with a Japanese badge on it must necessarily handle better. It does a pretty damn good job of that, too.
And no, he is not right about the fact that the Z outcorners the new Camaro. The simple truth is that we just don't know that yet one way or the other. I am certain that we will soon enough, however.
And when that time comes, I am willing to bet that the Z will have litte, if any, edge over the new Camaro in the real-world handling department, and it it will certainly be at a power disadvantage when compared to the new Camaro.

Prices begin at $499/month for a 24-month lease. Wait, you want to buy one? I'll have to check with my manager.
