In other muscle car news, Dodge announced that the 2014 Challenger will have a 8500 GVW and be exempt for all emissions standards. Engine options might include a 426 HEMI.
@clinto: I saw a Camaro on the road for the first time yesterday (I had seen a few on trucks previously), and man, that thing is weird looking. The proportions are all sorts of fucked-up. It's like a big-head-caricature of a 1st-gen Camaro.
@Alex Donegan: Actually, I agree. I think the Cruze is a good-looking car to begin with, and the stripe package looks good on it too. Not many cars can pull off Pussy Magnet Yellow, but the Cruze seems to be one of them.

How malaisy.

If they were to take a WRX/EVo approach on the Cruze platform and call it oh, say, a Corvair or a Monza, however, I'd approve.

I could see calling force-fed, FWD, 4-banger Chevys 'Monza' rather than 'SS.' From a GM-heritage standpoint, it's pretty logical.
Yeah, yeah, the Corvairs were 6's, but it's more that GM was trying to be all Europey with them.

The current Camaro is hideous, but goodness, this is a step down.
