But no one has real production shots like these, which are purported to be shots of them producing the 2010 Camaro from someone who got access to the production facility. Those look like Camaros to us. Come on, the robots can't keep their hands off of them. Thanks to J for passing them along

<![CDATA[2010 Camaro Back In Black, Now In Video]]> While yesterday we showed you the first spy photo of a purported 2010 Chevy Camaro SS, now we've got some video of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro driving around in that slick black paint we've seen spy photos of it wearing. Ok, so it's no Camaro SS but...

...we're still of the impression black is the best looking color we've see so far on the General's modern reinterpretation of the muscle car. Though maybe that's just because it hides the ugly of those headlights which we're still hoping, praying and believing are strictly for the pre-production version and not so much for the showroom. <![CDATA[2010 Chevy Camaro Caught In Florida, Gleaming White]]> Well, we really like the 2010 Chevy Camaro in black. Seriously — a lot. But in white? Not so much. Never matter, we're always happy to see new details on the new muscle car from the General's budget bargain basement brand. So what's the new detail we found — other than we really don't like the new mullet-mobile in white? Well, the engineering team is in Florida along I-75 with at least one white and one black Camaro and they're doing testing of the engine to see how it performs in high humidity. Well, guess they didn't want to wait for the summer in Detroit, eh? We've included two more shots below, as well as the rest of our spy photos of the new 2010 Chevy Camaro.

<![CDATA[2010 Chevy Camaro Is Better In Black]]> UPDATE:New shots, more shots — yes, we're swimming in the Aussie muscle-love. Yup, just like the camo-heavy shots we've already seen, these new sans-camouflage shots of the upcoming production version of the Chevy Camaro show us the new mullet-mobile is definitely hotter dressed up in black. I don't even think we need to say anything more about it — well — except for maybe that interior's still looking pretty similar to the spy shots of the interior we've already shown you. So take that, Mr. Welburn. (Hat tip to Jon, Jason and Brandon!)

<![CDATA[2010 Chevy Camaro Caught Testing In Sweden, Best Black Grille Shot Yet]]> We've got ourselves a new spy photo in showing off the black-on-black grille of the 2009 Chevy Camaro caught in winter testing in Sweden. After seeing this shot we're not embarrassed to tell you it's looking pretty bad-ass. Maybe we just needed to see the black-on-black look to start believing that. Although it does look as though the engineering team didn't get the memo from Lutz about removing camo from all the Camaro test units. In other news, we're getting really tired of writing alliterative phrases here about Brenda Priddy and her cadre of spy photographers, so screw it — we're not doing it. <![CDATA[Hybrid Camaro? "Muscle Car Wars" Going Green?]]> While we're plenty excited for the reveal of the 2009 Camaro, we're even more excited to see what the General has up its sleeve for future Camaro variants. And while what we have in mind is a new ZL-1 with a LS9 to do battle with the forthcoming Challenger S/S, GM seems to be thinking of something else.

Yep, word on the street interwebs is the case is being made for a 2-mode hybrid version of the new Camaro. The extra hybrid hardware will certainly add a premium to the price tag, but that concern is outweighed by the General's need to meet new CAFE standards.

<![CDATA[The Camaros Are Coming! Shots Of 2009 Chevy Camaro Being Unloaded At LAX]]> Though it may be a violation of some obscure TSA regulation, we're happy to see shots of the 2009 Chevy Camaro being delivered to LAX as it means the new bowtied muscle car is that much closer. These particular photos were snapped by an attentive member of the Camaro5 forum who happens to work the graveyard shift at the big airport. They even come in camouflaged and non camouflaged versions, which makes us think they were too lazy to rip off the tape before sending it over.

Check out Camaro5 for more pictures of the production Camaro's unofficial welcome to the US of A. And of course, check out our full Muscle Car Wars coverage. (Thanks to Jason for the tip) [Camaro5]

<![CDATA[Camaro Production Dates Revealed?]]> The very strange-looking man over at The Hollywood Extra is claiming he knows the start dates for production of the new Chevy Camaro. According to this Burlapp character, the production dates are:

February 16th 2009 for the coupe. December 7th 2009 for the convertible.
We guess we'll have to wait and see. All we know is that's a very long time between when they first revealed the new muscle car and when it'll finally start leaving the factory floor. It's been so long we almost forgot we'd first seen the concept car at the Detroit Auto Show — almost two years ago (one year ago for the 'vert)! [The Hollywood Extra]]]>
