Looks like a perfect candidate for a pro-street conversion. After all, I'll be stripping out most of the interior to save weight and install a roll cage. Then I'd modify the frame for strength anyway, so any warpage could be corrected then.
It'd be a shame to cut up a new one, and this way you start at 1/2 price! win/win
Eh, it's probably not out of line. If the estimates for repair are legit, you'd have less into the car than a new one by the time you were done, and I've seen salvage title vehicles that you'd have non salvage money into by the time you got it fixed.
The salvage title affects the value more than the damage at this point, and assuming the $2500 estimate is legit for the repairs, you'd come in several thousand less than even the employee price plus plus on a new SRT-8.
You couldn't get the "plus plus" benefit though, since a bank isn't going to give to 0% on a salvage car.
My assessment puts the price at "about right". Neither a good deal, nor "crack pipe".

That's fishy as all hell. A replacement door panel is not cause for salvage. There's gotta be something else wrong with that vehicle. Bent frame maybe?

This car has more damage than this picture shows. It looks like all of the quarters have damage as well.

In a year, an un-damaged Challenger will be cheaper than that.
