Well, on top of the General's reveal of Jay Leno's Corvette, they've now just revealed
what we revealed this weekend — the new SuperSexyback — minus the "Sexy" of course — the Chevy Cobalt SS. Oh yes, it's yellow, baby. And we all know what that means. Yup, ladies, hold on to your panties.

Looks like GM's bringing out yet another old mainstay to SEMA this year. Yup it's the 2008 Chevy Cobalt SS— yup, that's right — it's got an SS badge. Yay. Well, if we disregard the FWD platform and focus on the 2.0-liter turbocharged and intercooled Ecotec hitting 260 horses — we guess that extra 55 horses over the old n' busted supercharged Cobalt SS is something less to scoff at. The new Cobalt SuperSwervy's also got itself a short-throw shifter — only it's mated to the five-speed tranny rather than the new six-speed from the General. Altogether, while others may claim that added horsepower signifies a return to the SS badge "meaning something," we'll have to determine that in person with a test drive. Our best bet is it'll probably just make the torque steer all the more unbearable. Full press release after the jump.
