Not voting, it doesn't interest me but depending on what got it lemoned, and what was done to correct it, the price doesn't seem too bad for what it is.
I do have one question though, since this is actually a lemon, shouldn't it automatically qualify for LeMons?
I understand the back doors are power operated, not for the sake of luxury or convenience so much as it is because they are so difficult to reach while looking rich and elegant. For that reason alone, I would not buy a Maybach... ...except maybe this one. This is one of the engine cars from the Graf Zeppelin, which was powered by several big Maybach gas/diesel engines. And for looking rich and elegant, few things top a Zeppelin.
Except for that "oh the humanity" thing, of course.
Still looks like a stretch Rover 75 with too many headlights,
People might still mistake you for Simon Cowell,
Still costs £129,000 more than a Merkur XR4Ti, which I'd rather own,
I lack the requisite more money than sense and small penis needed for ownership.
When these are going at two grand a pop I might consider getting a couple and starting a minicab firm. Failing that, I expect to run one at LeMons in 2015.
This is about the first time I've ever voted nice price, simply due to the 60% drop in price, relatively new model year, and the assumption that there are no mechanical defects. Take any one of those factors away and we shall pass the pipe.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say when a company like Maybach takes a car back under the lemon law, (1) there is less likely wrong with the car, and they took it back to keep their wealthy customers happy (and money does indeed buy happiness if you know where to shop), and (2) it is doubtful that Maybach would put its reputation on the line by fixing the car "just good enough to fool people" and releasing it back into the wild like you neighborhood Ford dealer might.
I would consider this to be more of a "manufacturer-certified" used vehicle than the kind of thing one might find at Vinny's Used Car Megastore. Compare the book price, and give it a fair shake.

Hey, Buffy. Did you hear that Dr. Miller bought his Maybach used? I guess the economy is hitting everyone hard. Why don't you bring him over a jar of Beluga. He needs it more than we do, and in times like these, we should think of those less fortunate.
