    If the Escort that went onto the track with an audible-from-100-yards rod knock, then puked the engine and oiled the track and caused a long-ass yellow flag followed by lots of wrecks and spinouts on the still-slippery spots hadn't already been dead, it would have been the Curse winner. Lots of racers were pissed off about that one, since anyone with ears could tell that the engine was seconds from turning into a very efficient oil-spraying device.

    @Murilee Martin: Isn't there a provision in the rules to keep obviously unfit vehicles off the track? I would think that someone would have black flagged them before they blew up, since they apparently didn't have enough common sense to call it a day.

    While I am not as big of a fan of the curse as some other people. When i first saw this car, it looked awfully nice. Hell, it looked pretty and pristine.

    @racertex: I thought it was something Jay or one of the track people had brought along to show-- just a track-day toy that didn't have to conform to the rules. I couldn't believe that it was a LeMon.

    Their car spun out another car right in front of us, so our driver was not able to brake fast enough and he accidentally tapped into one of the spun cars. We got a black flag even though the incident was not really involving us. For this reason alone I was cheering the demolition. It was also made worse by the fact that Jay didn't know the car had been swapped to a manual trans until the crushing was nearly over.


    Oh, and I voted for the Metro :)
