Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: The $6,200 Geo Metro? |

What is wrong with Suzuki Swift?
Why do you have to call it a stupid name like Geo Metro?
Why give small cars truck like styling?

As it stands, hit the pipe. (But I voted Nice Price since gas prices will undoubtedly rise along with the economy in a few months.)

"one could easily mistake that for an Alfa Romeo."
That was simply cruel.

Still, we're talking "for the price". $6500 isn't quite crack pipe territory, but it's definitely rummaging through the medicine cabinet. For similar utility at that price, I'd be looking for a Civic wagon first.

puff puff pass and don't be bogarting.

For this price you could get a nice E30 318 convertible and get well over 30mpg too.

$6200 is 62% of the original price. Put in perspective, a 1992 Corvette convertible books at roughly 30% of its $40,145 MSRP.

I rest my case, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. Now, pass the pipe and lighter.

Sorry I missed the Fairmontchero post. In my opinion, they're the next Deusenbergs...

Funny, I searched the Denver CL and one post below this is another Convertible '92 Metro for $1K. AAAAAAAAnd I bet you can get it for an even cheaper price, with some persuasion.

I still wouldn't pay $6500 for that one but I do love me some Geo Metro. You could drive it flat out everywhere because flat out was about 37 MPH. It started kicking out heat about 200 yards from the house in the dead of winter. It was a fun little POS.

Jalopnik is the last refuge of the automotive outcast. It is a haven for Citroen afficionados. It has an unhealthy obsession with all things Camino. And where else can you find a group of people so entranced by old Leyland machinery to lust after it in spite of its Lucas woes?
For loving a Geo, I fear you might be insane. But most of us here have, no doubt, seen a quizical glance (or seven) at our expression of automotive desires.

@GothGirl: While the thought of even riding in a Geo-branded anything makes me shiver a bit, I respect your enthusiasm. I say let your freak flag fly!
