    Seriously, that is an amazingly cool car, in a way.


    I have always wondered, however, why Canada was "blessed" with Soviet cars-- was it their way of saying, "Canada, we reward you for being relatively socialist so close to the American Empire! Here, have some Ladas and GAZ's!"


    And Canada responded with, "You can't be serious, eh?"

    Strikes me as more of a Mercedes clone than anything American, which frankly is offensive atleast the Zils used the old Packard stamps. I mean what kind of Commies steal from the Germans? Look at the Soviet space shuttle, an enlaged photocopy of ours, complete with slightly larger c-5 galaxy ripoff. Then they go and ape the Germans on the automobile.
