@CptSevere: I had a '71 Fleetwood Brougham that I bought in '86 for three hundred dollars. We put the biggest Yakima bike rack they made on it (it cost more than the car!), then loaded up many thousands of dollars of mountain-bikes on that and drove all over the West/Southwest in a highly unfocused "Endless Summer"-type quest for the perfect single-track/bike race/mountain party town. It was the epitomy of worthlessness, and while we got to ride in some incredible places before mountain bikes were outlawed and went to some completely outrageous parties, the thing all those guys remember most was "The Caddy". It was insanely reliable considering what we put it through (I replaced two transmission pans while off-roading it before I learned how to drive it/fix it myself), so I think these guys are O.K. there. And they do have class, whereas we had none.
Unbreakable union of recycled steel,
Teargaskov has welded forever to race!
Created in struggle by will of the awesome
United and mighty, our Soviet car!
Through breakdowns the sun rays of LeMons have cheered us
Along the new path where great Lada did lead!
To a righteous cause he raised up the people
Inspired them to nickels and valorous deed!
In the victory of Communism's deathless ideal,
We see the future of our dear land
And to her fluttering scarlet steel,
selflessly true, we always shall stand!

However, what is it with the cardboard on the first-gen Q45?
Never mind...I probably don't want to know.
