    I've got one better than this. Not two blocks away from where I sit is a '68 Chevy van with a multicolor rattlecan paint job. For sale. This is Arizona, so it isn't full of cancer. They want 1200 bucks for it. Nice? Yep. Hold on. It has a 1975 Cadillac drive train, including the 500 V8. The sellers tell me the previous owner added weight to the front end because he got tired of the goddam thing pulling wheelies. They also tell me they have to carry two spares, one for the stock front axle, the other for the Cadillac rear end. Think I should buy it?

    Even if it turns out to be a total pain in the ass, just screw around with it for a few months then sell it for 75%-125% of the purchase price.

    @Jo $chmo: Peter Fonda, according to Wiki. And, I agree best GTA game. While IV is the most technologically advanced, I still prefer the sheer awesomeness of San Andreas.

    Damn, this feels like Kokatu.

    Oh, and I can't be the only one who gets a nice car and just drives around for a while.

    @Ambiguously Strolling Player: True, the countryside is good for things. I would use cheats and fill it up with cars, and proceed to blow them up. Unlimited ammo+rocket launcher+cars=explosions.

    @Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: PC-only... but the PC version has so much modding potential, it isn't funny. I had half the cars replaced at one point - there's a great '71 Matador sedan, for instance, and a Blazer of similar vintage, and...

    @Taco Mudplushroomz: Ooh, yeah. After owning it on PS2 for many years, I "procured" the PC version simply for the mod potential. Donked smart cars, pedal-powered dirtbikes... I don't think it ever got to the levels I'd reached with GTAIII back in eighth grade, but it was pretty ridiculous. The custom soundtrack is probably the best part.

    Reminds me of this one year I was doing promo work for Panasonic and they provided me what all my friends called "the kidnapper van" to drive around in as my only means of transport.


    It was used to carry displays but it was a white chevy express with no windows, a chain link fence behind the drivers seat and various chains suspended from the roof which were used to secure the cargo when I schlepped it around western Canada. I never got a second date with girls once I picked them up in that van
