There's a bunch of us over at 3geez.com working on our 1st gen Accords. I'm working on mine, but wheels are hard to find, as are suspension components. Not the most popular cars, aftermarket is virtually nonexistant. Gotta go old-school on the mods and build and find parts from other cars! It's pretty fun actually.

Pity they dumped the two-door hatch after the third-gen model. Then again, I say that about every company that axes hatchback versions of coupes or sedans (I'm looking at you, Mazda6...).

I recently saw a MINT Accord of this body style (complete with rear window louvers and chrome bumper guards) and wanted to take photos, but alas it was in a parking lot.

I agree, Murilee, it is a clean and simple design. Though I associate it with bad dramas.

I have only seen one similar vintage Accord on the streets of NYC (and oddly the same car on the NJ Turnpike) and it had Georgia Historic Vehicle plates. Hardly seems like a historic vehicle!

Only 9 years until I can get them for my '92 Chevy pickup!

to point B -- and on weekends, point C. But that was the old me. That
man died the moment I laid eyes on a 1977 Honda Accord."

You gotta wake up pretty early to beat Ash.
Did he ever get the H back in that episode?

Still, "That's how you know it's a HONDA!"

The fenders had already completely rusted through.

Beige, of course.
Most invisible, generic looking car ever, even back then.
Reliable as gravity, though.

BTW: Is the driver's seatbelt all twisted sister in there, or did the owner hang up a strip of flypaper so as to prevent mosquito-borne illness?

Imagine if companies were allowed to build stripped models again? Sure all the safety equipment is nice, but light weight, fuel economy..... are great too.
I wonder if Honda could market it as a motorcycle?
