    Am I the only one to note the irony in that the Lucas Electrics reverse lights appear to still be functioning? Or was it the reverse lights coming on incorrectly that started the blaze? WE MAY NEVER KNOW!

    @sierran: As much as I want to believe it's lights that are on, I'm willing to bet it the reflectors responding to the camera's flash.

    trying to keep a stiff upper lip, but that is one depressing photo.


    My dad restored a '62 roadster in his garage, pre-internet car forums, over the course of a couple years back in the late 70's. Sold it about 2 years afer completion to fund his dream of building a house.
    I can almost remember what it sounded like blasting around the neighborhood without mufflers on it's first drive:
