Don't let Dan Brown pull the wool over your eyes: "Belgium" isn't a real place at all, it's just a very bad curse word.

    Crack pipe either way.

The Siata, though, is worthwhile hell - well, it would be, if you could find an English-speaking parts dealer. Or any parts dealer at all, for that matter.

VW with a plywood body? Easy. Even if they want 900E too much for it.

I thought the Sciatica was painful to look at--what is that, a frigging firetruck front clip on an MG?--but the yellow thingie isn't even a car. No way it got 20,000 FEET on it, never mind kilometers. 20 kilos maybe.

The condition is "gebruikt"--which means, roughly, "clumsily built of wrong ruined trash by a perceptually impaired lunatic whose reach exceeded his grasp--of automobiles, style, design, fabrication, aerodynamics and common sense."

There is NO PCH here because neither car is interesting enough to warrant ANYONE buying it in the first place.

I was thinking that if I could get used to the looks of am AMC, I could deal with the looks of the Fauxborghini. Then I clicked on the rear 3/4 view in the ad. Fortunately my chair is on wheels, and I pushed back fast enough that my lunch went on the floor instead of my keyboard.

@wafflechocolatbeer: Wow, that's NICE. I've always loved the look of the later Javelins. When I was a kid I always thought the many Camaros and Mustangs and Firebirds around my small town were okay, but the purple Javelin down the street was the coolest car around.

I'll take the Lambo. So do all pre-schools in Belgium offer auto shop classes and get to build their own cars?

Surely no one over the age of 6 thought that this car was a good idea.

It appears to be a particle-board and duct-tape interpretation of a Countach, no doubt built in a Belgian prison from smuggled-in components and based entirely on a verbal description of the original car.

There is nothing I can say that will trump this description. I can only hope that when the Belgian Ministry of Crime, Punishment and Anti-French Sentiment saw the results of that prisoner's labour, that they added another 25 years to his sentence, sending him back to work until he fixed the mess he'd made.

@Deartháir: a Cruder, Fart-Joke Version of graverobber: Yes, but eventually he will get in a fight with Paul L. Smith and will accidentally knock him against a coat hook on the wall which sticks into his head, makes his eyes go all crossways and killing him.

Then he takes his uniform and walks out of the prison.

Later he manages to sneak across the border into France where he catches a steamer to China where he makes a fortune designing faux iPhones and BMW sport utes.

Whether you can read French or not, "pas de papier" is perfect PCH material.

Siata may no longer exist, but nor will Belgium in ten years or so:

Although I love how the psuedo Lambo is the yin to the Imhoff car's yang, it would appear it has VW bits vs. Fiat bits for the Siata. So, Siata it is.

A Siata Spring is more likely a Siberian Winter of ownership agony, but WTF is up with that Yellow thing? Was it built by a blind guy, based on a description from a another blind guy who once accidentally ran his hands over a Lambo in hopes of groping the potentially Adrienne Barbeau-esque driver after hearing Cannonball Run on TV one late night?

Jebus H Crackers, that thing's like out of that execrable movie Hostel: You must kill someone, and then drive this car in public, that is the contract. Hey man, I already used the floor sander to eviscerate the Coed, but I didn't sign up for that, not the car, no . . .NO!

Boy, and thanks Murilee; "Go Here if the ad disappears." We should be so lucky. I'm hoping Anthony will wish it into the corn field.

That thing'll never run, the soul of the donor VW will be too ashamed.
