Now that sucks. Something tells me the taxpayers of Clear Creek County are going to go muscle car shopping soon, if you get my drift.

I may not be the biggest Firebird fan, but I totally feel bad for the owner. If something like this happened to my Valiant, I'd be devestated.

A somewhat similar, but less tragic thing happened here in Atlanta a couple of months ago. A garbage truck lost control, rolled down a hill and crushed some guys car in the parking lot below. That time the car was nothing of importance it was an Accord, Saturn, or some other appliance type of car.

"The accident happened on Ponderosa Drive in Clear Creek County, Denver" Denver has counties? Who knew?

On a serious note, while I applaud the Firefighter's willingness to pull over for faster traffic (I'm guessing he was coming back from a run?), I'll bet he never does it again.

@Mike the Dog: Note to self: Read linked articles before commenting, the fire truck was yielding to oncoming cars. The original article says the road is only eight feet wide, but in this pic it sure looks like a (narrow) two-lane. [jalopnik.com]

Okay, why the goddamn Firebirds? Can we please leave them alone?

It's not enough that Pontiac is now dead as a door knob, now we just have to rub it in and randomly crush another Firebird? This just goes beyond tasteless. This is not like kicking a man while he's down. This is like kicking a man while he's down, unzipping your fly, pissing on him while he's down, and then taking a crap in his ass, and then screwing his wife.

And now, just for kicks, just to throw a little salt and vinegar in the wound, a beautiful classic that the man had been working on for thirty frickin' years is now flattened.

That was tasteless, Denver FD. Totally tasteless.

F*ck the Enzos. Save the Firebirds.

That fire truck has a little bit of dragon in him.

Actually, judging by the picture, it has a lot of angry, full-mount, shut-your-trap-and-just-take-it-like-a-P... dragon.

@engineerd is the antithesis of funny: I lived in Cali for a year, traveled up and down the coast many times, but never went to the Winchester House.
