"NO RUST EVER"? Not even if it was stored in a zero-humidity climate controlled vault hooked to an electrostatic corrosion inhibitor would I believe that. Pass the rock, doc.

The seller is definitely a crack fan, if only for offering this supposedly rare and wonderful car on Craig's List with crappy photos and no details. If you have something that amazing, to to some classics site, ffs.

There are those who long for pain. They will pay top dollar for exquisite torture. I, like all of us, have my own peccadillos in this regard. Fortunately, my irrational urges don't involve TR3's. For this, I am eternally thankful to a merciful God.

A quick survey of Hemmings Motor News shows the best, restored TR3's are $20k less than this morning's subject. Even if this car had every single service record and receipt included, and was in flawless condition, I wouldn't pay a cent more than $30K.

Hand me a lighter, and call me Crackey.

    "...MG,Austin Healey,Jaguar,Rolls Royce,Ferrari,Porsche,Aston Martin,Ford,BMW,Mercedes,Fiat,Alfa Romeo,Maserati"

Assuming that this amazing machine has attributes lifted from all these cars; Ferrari engine, Porsche engineering, Aston Martin build quality, Fiat handling, Rolls Royce ride, Ford parts availability etc. etc. then this is the nicest price ever.

Unfortunately, the Alfa Romeo rustability crack-pipes the hell out of it.

    $30 per pound.

Too much, even if it had Jimmy Hoffa in the trunk.
