You know, if they chopped the top of the Mini-Wiener, and sold it like a roadster, I'd totally buy that.

#10 baffles me. I thought you were supposed to compensate for a smaller wiener with a bigger car.

Nowadays, driving around in a strange vehicle while promoting your wiener will get you a dime up-state.

In honor of Mr. Mayer, I'm flying my wiener at half mast. At least until .357 posts the COTD award pic anyway.

    God bless America!
Between the Wienermobile and the jingle, they had talent to burn in the marketing.

And consider the comeback from Armour "What kind of kids love Armour Hot Dogs--
Big kids, little kids, kids who climb on rocks--
Fat kids, skinny kids, even kids with chicken pox"--that's also an ear worm.
Yes, friends, great creative minds once waged wars over the lowly hotdog.
Ain't nobody rhapsodizing over "Healthy Turkey Frank-n-fooders"!

Honorable mentions got to the Honda Insight and the Nissan Micra CC.
One makes you look like a wiener, the other makes you look like you like wieners.

You would not be a self indulgent wiener, sir.

    You would be a connoisseur.

That said, let's hope the improved handling of the 2008 version keeps this from happening again:

I call the latest Weinermobile a fail, because my favorite part was guessing from what vehicle they took the headlights and taillights. #6, I believe, has headlights from a GM van (VanDura or Beauville... gotta love those names) and #'s 7 and 8, are Pontiac Grand Prix, and #9 looks like a Grand Am.

OK, tell me where I was wrong.... or say what the others are!

@Lost in the age of Aerostar: #5 used Ford Thunderbird taillights. You can kind of see it in the picture. I love the mix of GM headlights and Ford taillights. I think they did that several years.

My little cousin actually loves the Weinermobile. He thinks it's uber cool. The only problem is, whenever he sees one, he yells out weiner! So now whenever I'm with him, I stay away from BMWs.
