    @nadnarb: Keep your dirty Viper bits out of my Ford. You put that filth in a Mopar, not a ford.


    A 5.4L SC, or a 460 or even a s/c'd 6.0L SOHC V10.


    I'm very big on keeping the manufacturer close to the same.

    @FrankGrimes: Took the gallery photos yesterday afternoon. It's half price weekend at that junkyard- complete engines, air cleaner to oil pan, with all accessories- for $100.

    When I am proclaimed Planetary Dictator-For-Life (should be happening any day now), I am going to make it illegal to crush anything old and awesome. So a vast majority of cars from about 1975 til 1987 are fair game, and most everything prior to that timeframe would be protected.

    @AlienProbe: On cars, they just went away. On the other hand, on tucks, they are still going strong:



    This is a Freightliner Century, but their entire lineup has split windshields



    This is a Mack Vision, and notice the split windshield.


    They are on Peterbilt, Kenworth, and International trucks as well.

    @domino: I'm a little dead on the inside now. Its gonna be hard today, driving down the turnpike, I'll see all the cars with happy owners and think about how this guy suffers in a junk yard. I think I'll throw This mortal Coil's; It Will End in Tears album in for the ride.
