@Boosted Lego Wagon: At least they can fit multiple friends in them. The old Austin Healy my neighbor had wasn't quite so accommodating, and it needed to be pushed everywhere.
It's in development for the US. There are virtually no V8s in Europe, neither is there a demand for them over here. So why would they develop one for Europe?
@duurtlang: Ok, V8s are a marginal market, but mostly because in countries like France, Italy or Spain engine taxation is based on displacement and a 3L V8 will be taxed just like a boring 3L V6, which is AWESOME. And yes, us Yurpeans love V8s too!
V8s for everyone!
@Franzouse:
Sure, I would like to see them more often too. But don't forget our fuel prices, which are traditionally 2-3 times higher than in the US. A 3.0 V8 will consume more of the liquid gold than a 3.0 V6 with the same power and technology, so V8s will remain marginal. Even the 6 cilinders are rare, with the exception of BMW/Audi/MB

Alfa needs to make the spiritual successor to the Thema 8.32 ASAP and I'll rob a bank for it. Or just plain rob the car!

By "image," I take it you mean "engine."
Also, Alfa denies it.
