At the introduction of the Saturn ION Quad Coupe, GM toured college campuses where they displayed a model for you to sit in and their marketing interns handed out Hot Wheels versions of the Quad Coupe.
A more mundane example to be sure, but it might bolster the claim that this is indeed the new Mustang.
This much hullabaloo is justified if you're introducing a new car or a major redesign...but now that we've seen pretty much the whole car (piecewise), it's not that different from the last one.
I suspect people are going to be very underwhelmed when they pull that curtain back.
...at is, unless the real details are under the hood (or in the rear suspension).
For anyone interested,Top Gear was one of the funniest i've seen. They tested the new GT2 against the Gallardo 560/4,the best bit was the Lorry challenges where Oliver & Stig's Lorry driving cousin made brief appearances. Well worth watching if you can get to see, avaliable at [www.bbc.co.uk] Be warned,Hammond does seem to be turning into Princess Diana with his weird hair.
@sos10 votes NO on prop8: I get the torrent from FinalGear (just got home from work, downloading it now).
So I'm wondering now, if Top Gear could pull off a few Hot Wheels themed stunts. Given how they launched the Mini, could the traditional 360 degree loop happen?
@BЯдΖǐL-ЯЄРΘЯΤЄЯ: Next sunday at 8pm (U.K. time) I just need to find out how/what i'd need to do. Open to advice as i know nothing about computers. I will check back at this thread. Unless Sir Jalopnik tells me this is illegal.
@layabout: Isn´t it on public TV? so you only are going to make it more public. As for computer expert, I can´t help you to much, let´s ask our fellow jalop brothers.
I was hoping for an F1 story so i can slag personality void Hamilton off for fluking the title. Anyway new Top Gear has started so now i'm happy again, the gf is pissed as she can't watch the dancing programme, haha.
@layabout: "...the gf is pissed as she can't watch the dancing programme..."
Oy, man, get another television ASAP if for no other reason than to keep the domestic peace. Randy and I have three TVs for just the two of us, and even at that there are some logistic issues that arise every so often. Two people plus 100 or more cable channels under one roof means conflict if there's only one telly...
@Jeremias: Yeah,Gloch needs his nuts stamping on for that.
@Charles_Barrett - Now with Variable-Valve Timing: I had to show Hannah(gf) that comment, she found it funny & is now on my case to get a different aerial for the bedroom tv,as at the moment you can on watch the same channel as the tv in the living room. So that's my mission for tomorrow
@Jeremias: As I am a peacefull person I don´t wish Glock´s death, but hed better be out the country real quick if not I´ll personally break his arms, legs and his spine so he never be able again to drive a car.
@layabout: My folks have a satellite dish arrangement at their house, so all three TVs there must pipe thru the sole tuner/downconverter... same kind of dilemma you describe at your house.
When my sister and nieces and I are all visiting the folks at the same time, my youngest niece dominates the tuner and the whole household is stuck watching "Hanna Montana" or some other Disney dreck.
Hope my telly comment doesn't send you running around too much tomorrow... Just think of the ensuing peace and quiet once the task is complete...!
@Charles_Barrett - Now with Variable-Valve Timing: Same here,we have just the one satellite point for both tv's,i've been meaning to sort it out for a while now. But now my gf is into this strictly come dancing programme which is on for an 90 minutes every saturday & 45 minutes the rest of the week,i believe for my own sanity i should get it done this week,& she's a great gf so want to keep her happy.
@layabout: A second dish tuner is a small investment to keep Hannah happy and yet allow you telly autonomy for your testosterone automotive-viewing pleasure. There are battles large and small in all relationships... the wise man knows how to tell them apart (hint: this one is small)...!

As a Good fanatic Brazilian a justa one thing to say: " DEATH TO GLOCH!!!!!!!!"
the thing is Hamilton still makes mistakes when he is under Preassure. Lost 2 Positions in the last 3 laps???
Anyway, if wasn't for the hose incident Massa probably had took this Champioship.
Now Ferrari is looking at themselves and seeing the dumbest mistake ever made.
Was by far the best finale in 15 years.
