I'd say that Cadillac has been "walking the walk" for quite sometime now. Barring the ancient DTS, which in and of itself is not a horrible car, Cadillac's line up is well-worthy of the competition it faces.
I agree with everyone else, this does look very uh sporty and very awesome to be seen in. Ford and Chevy seem to be the only ones making an effort staying alive while Chrysler is just the child who doesnt listen to his parents.
It's getting to have a little-Falcon look to it that I really quite like. I understand it handles rather well for a midsize, too; sort of like a new Contour, except with leg room for people who haven't stepped on two landmines simultaneously.
Additionally, the taillights no longer suck. Party!
Hopefully the comparison tests will come out quickly...as long as this thing at least places among the perennial Accord/Passat winners, then it could be a nice swing in momentum for Ford. "A more exciting package than an Accord and more reliable marque than a Passat" would be a great spot to have.
Man, this is pretty neat. I find this more reaffirming of Ford's ability to return to profitability than the Mustang (which is growing on me) and am glad to see them releasing some compelling product this year.
With the fusion re-do and the new Fiesta on the lots, it's going to make the Focus look even more like the Janet Reno of the Ford family. Hopefully they'll get the Euro-focus or something over soon too.
I like this grille better than the old one. The bottom edge still bugs me, like the window trim line from the old Subie Legacy sedan. It doesn't need to take that little jog - fix it!
So, a display that will actually train you to become a better ecodriver. That's crazy, crazy like a fox. The EPA won't pay the slightest bit of attention to that, but a thrifty owner will, and laugh past the gas station on his way to the bank.
Great job, Ford. This is a step in the right direction. While it doesn't appeal to my inner enthusiast, it DOES appeal to my need for a car for my wife, future kids, and maybe myself for the daily commute.
But most sedans are so bland and commonplace. Need wagon!

Converj: ...free bwhat?
Fusion: Oh...oh, nothing. Sorry, I forg...it's nothing! Move along.
Converj: ...I'm pretty sure you said something about a b--
Fusion: You misheard. Must be those teeny-tiny ears.
Converj: Ears...?
Fusion: Yeah, you know, your mirrors. I tend to think of them as ears. Yours are freakishly small.
Converj: Tut tut, my chromy friend! I can't even see what your grille looks like in this convention lighting!
Fusion: At least it's functional.
Converj: Where's the free bar.
Fusion: I'm NOT TELLING.
Legacy Concept: Will you two SHUT THE HELL UP over there?!!!
Converj: Touch-y...
Fusion: I know...have you seen him? I think he's had one too many this evening...
Converj: HOW?!!!

Chrysler's abysmal midsize offerings more than make up for it, though. *shudder*

Not a single drive goes by where I don't check my trip mpg in my current vehicle...why EVERY car doesn't have something similar is beyond me.
