Living in Denver with an old Peugeot 505 Turbo (RWD, for the record) was similarly fun when there was a blizzard - which was frequently.

If I ever needed to change lanes in busy traffic, I would just make it fishtail, seemingly wildly, and voila! people would give me soooo much space.

In reply to 2009 LA Auto Show Round-Up: Let's Get Small
I wish I was twenty years younger. It'd be worth wrestling with the onset of puberty in order to actually be excited about some new cars. And I don't mean that I want to be 12 years old in 2009, I wish it was 1989.

Plus, then grunge wouldn't have had to happen.

Perry instructs at Audi Club Golden Gate chapter HPDE's. Here's some pix of him in action at Infineon in 08 - [gotbluemilk.com]

His car is VERY fast. I was riding along with an instructor in the instructor group in a nice Porsche and that Lotus was just cutting through the field like something through something.

    Must... not... lookuponhideousform!

I have no idea what they're doing here... I can't imagine they'd actually market this pig in any manner even remotely close to the way it looks right now.

IOW, this could be the Best. Mule. Ever.

I guess I'm the only geek here, so it is my duty to point out that number 8 is a red british phone booth, whereas the TARDIS (Time And Relative Distance In Space: I told you I am a geek) is a 1950's vintage blue police call box.

In reply to What's The Best Winter Vehicle?
Anything with studless snow tires, AWD, a manual trans and a turbo or two. A driver selectable center diff and heated seats would be nice, but not necessary.

In reply to Dodge Sends Off Viper With Two Limited-Edition Models, More On Way
Guy down the street from me in Houston was in tall cotton in 2005. Built a McMansion, and bought a Viper. He used to laugh at me trying to keep up with him in my hot rod R32 on the straights. Then we would talk again in the tight stuff. Long story short, he hit a bad patch. House recently was sold at auction. Repossessed by the bank. Last I saw, he was still driving the Viper.

    Good call, I say.

@HoonThatFerrari: Although, I do find your frequent references to the Porsche's rear-end to be perhaps slightly disturbing.

It's one thing to camo the SLR as a Cerbera or the SLS as the Viper, but I didn't think they'd go far as to graft the Dodge Nitro face on a prototype.

Nice COTD GasGuzzler. It doesn't snow here so I'll have to take your word for it.

On to the booze... after all it's Friday! Please enjoy this Snow ale from China... the world's best selling beer.
