The Switzer P800 Nissan GT-R is fast, but 700HP at 3800lbs wasn't good enough. The Ohio-based tuners have reworked the car and bumped output to 800HP and chopped weight by 200 lbs. Meet the Switzer P800 Nissan GT-R Track Animal.

Switzer is focused on delivering performance without the tuner fluff we find so tiresome with other aftermarket companies. If it doesn't make the car go faster, handle better, or turn harder, it gets chucked out the window or replaced. Case in point is the new Track Animal, they started with the P800 kit and added their new cooling package to develop a heady 800 HP and 700 lb-ft of torque. The 15.2 inch steel brake rotors were replaced with ceramic rotors and matching pads, the brake hoses were swapped with woven steel lines resulting in dramatically reduced weight and fade, with improved feel. The suspension has been upgraded with a fully-adjustable JRZ suspension system and stiffer adjustable anti-roll bars.

The rear deck lid was replaced with a dry carbon fiber piece and the rear wing is an active-aero wing from Aeromotions which varies the angle of attack to accentuate downforce and braking and is supplemented by a new diffuser for improved performance. Inside the hefty factory seats were tossed in favor of much lighter Bride Racing seats. In total the car tips the scales 200 lbs lighter at 3,600 lbs giving it a power to weight ratio of 0.22, the Corvette ZR1 checks in at 0.19 if you're keeping track. That's how it's done.
