If you haven’t heard of Shiny Toy Guns, they’re an amazing electro-rock band from Los Angeles and Oklahoma who put on one of the most amazing live shows I’ve ever seen. And, as if being rockstars wasn’t already cool enough, they also chase tornadoes in their spare time.

Their punchy cover of Peter Schilling’s “Major Tom” (featuring former lead singer Sisley Treasure) was released in 2009 and quickly caught the attention of Lincoln Motor Company, who commissioned an ad campaign using the song to promote the MKZ. Soon after, the band also covered Blue Öyster Cult’s “Burning For You,” which Lincoln used in an MKS commercial.
