Last week, we were lucky to have Senna director Asif Kapadia join a panel discussion with pro drivers Robb Holland and Greg Tracy at the Jalopnik Film Festival about the triumph and tragedy of motorsport. If you missed the film festival, have no fear, the panel is here.
I sat down with Asif, Robb, and Greg for an enlightening (I thought so) discussion on what goes through a driver's head during a race and how they compartmentalize their emotions and fears during a race to focus on the task at hand. Thankfully, /DRIVE was there to record the whole thing.
It's pretty interesting stuff, and we also learn a lot about what went on behind the scenes of Senna, like just how controlling Bernie Ecclestone really is.
Check it out.
