The De Macross GT1 is what happens when a wealthy Korean businessman decides he doesn't like the current crop of supercars and enlists the help of some Canadians and an 800-hp supercharged Roush V8.
They've used their expertise to craft a complete De Macross, and their low profile to do it without anyone noticing. And quite the car it is. Using a bit of the machinery used for the One-77, the aluminum-skinned car's a mix of billet-aluminum and carbon-fiber.
Power comes from the aforementioned Roush 5.4-liter V8 connected to a six-speed manual. The goal is to produce more than 800 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque, enough they think to propel the car to 62 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds.
If you're in the mood for such a car it can be picked up later this year at a price around $1 million. Just do us a favor and pick a color combo that's not beige-on-white.
