At the low end, a new 128i Coupe comes in at the comparatively bargain-basement price of $29,200; on the high side, a new M6 Convertible will set you back a healthy $107,500. As far as options, it looks like a heated steering wheel is going to become part of most cold weather packages, and Active Steering will no longer be available on 128i or 328i/xi models. Finally, if you want a double-clutch gearbox on your M3, you'll need to pony up an extra $200 in addition to the base manual transmission option cost of $2,700. Works for us. The base price, sans destination, is $18,999 for the S mode with the 2.5-Liter I5 and a five-speed manual (which we reviewed). That's a reasonable price for a fairly refined, fun wagon without too many obnoxious features. Add $2K to that price if you want a 6-speed tiptronic tranny. Drop another $1,350 and you can upgrade to the SE model, which includes a much better sound system and faux leather seating. If you want the 2.0T I4, and trust us you do, it's going to cost you a little more. More »

The standard EX comes in at $31,300 for the RWD with the 297 horsepower VQ, with a bump to $34,850 for the "Journey" package, which includes a power moonroof, leather-appointed surfaces, front and rear sonar and torpedos. If you insist on AWD, you'll have to shell out $32,700 for the basic privilege and $36,250 for the "Journey." They've dropped the base price on the 4x2 SUV letting freedom ring in at an MSRP of just $20,990 — $1,270 less than the 2007 model. The 4x4 on the other hand will start in at $22,600 — $1,170 less than the current model. Exhibit A would be the "Wolfsburg Edition" of anything in the line-up of the automaker representing Deutschland. The newest uber-special wolf-like edition is the Passat, and the up-priced "value model"

Lost amid important things like t-shirt slogans and a certain car exec's hairdo, we kind of missed the completion of the General's Lambda-platform trilogy. Rick Wagoner's blue-haired Buick brand has now allowed pricing on the Outlook Acadia Enclave to run free out of the Woods. The CX, the base-level FWD version of the Buick Enclave, will hit showroom floors at the jaw-dropping price of $32,790, with the AWD model of the base-level coming in at $34,790. Now if you want some options on that CUV, the de-luxe model, the CXL, will come in at a $34,990 with FWD and the AWD starting at $36,990. That's nearly $3,000 more than the Acadia, its Lambda-platformed cousin at GMC and nearly $5,000 more than its platform-prostitute cousin, the Saturn Outlook. The General's new CUV is nothing if not pricey at a starting price of $29,990 for the FWD base unit. While certainly not as many ducats as FoMoCo's new Mercury MKX (that starting price of $34,795 still gives us a double-take, plus a quick jaw-to-the-floor) it's still more expensive than the Ford Edge (pricing in at a comparably inexpensive $25,995) by almost $4,000. But for that price, you'll get a few nice standard features on top of the requirement that you chain down your car at night else it float away on that warranty thing. Lincoln Prices MKX Starting At $34,795]]> FoMoCo's Lincoln brand's released pricing on their new CUV hotness, the MKX. The base model will start at $34,795 and the AWD model hits the showroom floors at $36,445. Our first reaction, after the obligatory bugs bunny double take, rubbing of the eyes, and yelling of "Zoinks!" was to question the reasoning behind the MKX's almost $10,000 differential in price from the Ford Edge, it's badge-engineered CUV-cousin. Other than fine corinthian leather, what do you get for the money you work hard for? Well — you actually do seem to get a significantly upgraded interior and...umm...hmm...well...we're not so much sure what else. All the other stuff we'd normally point to like nav system, heated seats, sunroof, etc. all comes added atop that base price. So apparently, the extra $10K gets you a pretty new interior, a non-razor-blade front end, and a pretty little badge on the exterior which says "Lincoln." Money well spent. Although it may seem it's a few grand higher than the 2006 pricing entry point of $23,710 — it's really about the same, because that was including the 9-2 model, which as the release notes, was discontinued cause the General sold off its share of Fuji Heavy Industries.
