The team from the University of Central Florida brought their Subaru back for another try. Relying primarily on Sick LIDARs, the team came up with an innovative way to get more visual scope from the devices: wobble them. Mounted on the roof are two units mounted to custom wobbling devices that rotate the devices through 90 degrees of motion to increase their line of sight. With a limited budget and no seed money, this is the sort of necessity that mothers good inventions... Now to see if it works.
