Peugeot's never going to make a luxurious GT like the SR1, but this concept does preview the French brand's new styling direction: better proportions, complicated details. That should work better than the current bulbous shapes, ugly details design language.

Peugeot says it's got a 218HP 1.6 liter gas engine and a 95 HP rear-mounted electric motor, which when acting in concert can deliver 313 HP and a darn respectable 48 MPG. The Peugeot SR1 is what, the millionth hybrid sports car to debut at Geneva this year?

Don't expect Peugeot to make a high-end car like this, but do look for a similar hybrid powertrain setup to appear in more pedestrian future models.
