How did Boat Night Derelichts (109, 6658 BS laps) place higher than Maximus Forgiveness (2983 BS laps)? Quite a showing to make up nearly 4000 penalty laps!
@modisch: Nope. LeMons (and 1 ChumpCar) are the only racing that we do. We don't have the $$ or time for more.
Also, before things get out of hand with "Eyesore has resources", the gull-wing in the background is a press car from Edmunds.com and the shop belongs to our sole sponsor who rents us a parking space at his shop at a reduced rate.
Swing by our pit at a race and you won't find a million dollar RV and race trailer, just a bunch of nimrods sitting in lawn chairs calling each other names.
@gearhead455: You should know that we receive no free parts from Mazda and the turbo is an MHI unit, not a Garrett. You too can build your own craptastic turbo Miata! Just follow the steps shown here: [www.motoiq.com] as well as solutions to some of the problems that we initially faced with the assistance of helpful forum members like your self at [www.miataturbo.net] We've given you step-by-step instructions on how to build a potentially winning car and team, with the exception of how to go about surrounding yourself with enthusiastic people who have multiple advanced engineering degrees.
@CptSevere: Surprisingly, there were very few large cars at this event. The biggest I can think of was the Lt. Lee Chevy Nova. It seems that most people have figured out that huge cars with massive power can still get caught up in the swarms of underpowered cars, but they have a harder time cutting through than the lighter, quicker responding compacts.
I'm saying an even 1145 for whole lot. You're telling me you can get a better lap count for these three somewhere else? Come on... OK, OK, I can see you're a hard bargainer. I'll go up to 1233, but that's my last guess.
