@SwatLax: You got it. Ray keeps telling me that I only have to clean his bathroom one more time before he'll add me to the list.
@sandwich_pants:
Actually, Wert shows up in full medieval armor with a mace. I know this because school put me behind on my very first review. Reviews 2 through 26 will not be late, Ray. I promise.
Strange...all of the ads have disappeared from Inside Line and you won't find anything through Google. I've put some calls and emails into GM to see what's up.

And as for damage control...you can click the last link and scroll down to the comments to find Saturn taking issue with my review of their Astra.

@ZeGerman: Ray is an alum and I still go to school drink here in EL.

It's hard to find good roads around here with the flatness and the farm-ness...Heading north through the Park Lake area is about the best I have. Got any recommendations?

The photo is from the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. I don't think VW uses the campaign any more, but the commercials are always there on YouTube...
Sorry for the slow response, I was captivated for most of the day by my second-favorite job: math tutoring. Here are some answers to a few of your questions.

I drive: a 2003 Mazda Protege5 in dire need of new brake discs. It has more scratches than miles on the odometer (44,000) due to my so-called friends who refuse to follow the "no leaning bikes on the car" rule.

I wouldn't mind driving: A Mazdaspeed3, a GTI, a Lotus Elise, one of those tricked out Fastivas, a '69 Camaro, a Ferrari 430 Scuderia or a Lamborghini Murcielago.

I drink: Far too much Busch Light. The college crowd doesn't really discriminate when it comes to beer, but I do enjoy Coors and Bell's Oberon, a Michigan brew.

I'm terrified of getting this wrong, but let's go ahead and say 23.80 m/s for the banked turn question. I don't know the answer to the damping question...can't say I've dealt with oscillations in the past 2 years.

No, I wasn't a commenter before being hired, although I was a Jalopnik reader.
