"At first I was surprised by the claim that the Equinox is the only vehicle with a Chinese sourced engine, but then I went ahead and checked and it's technically not true since GM also sells the Pontiac Torrent, which also uses that engine. Anyways, it's sourced from GM and SAIC's plant in Shanghai where it was designed (or modified from an existing design) for one of the Chinese Buicks."
