Unfortunately, I think the IRL/CART debacle soured American's on open wheel racing. Those two series both struggled during the separation and continue to struggle since they've kissed and made up.

Also, Americans like to follow their racing series on a somewhat regular schedule (NASCAR every sunday; ALMS monthly; etc.). I don't foresee the avg. American waking at odd hours to catch the F1 races on the opposite side of the globe.

It's no surprise. They have to cover the cost of the early gen trannies somehow...
Using the Bay of E as a gauge, this price seems in line with their current fair market value.

Sustained triple digit speeds = overheated shocks = less dampening
The guys on the trail knew this after the 1st day. They didn't slow down the 2nd day.

The truck's frame is 5 star crash tested = crumple zones = designed weak points EVEN IN THE FRAME

The guys that put this run together are at fault. Nobody pre-ran the trail and nobody noticed the frame bending whoop.

14 went out, 10 came back with bent frames.

4 drivers didn't abuse their vehicles.
Saw this on Lexington KY's news channel yesterday. I LOL'd

I got up close and personal with it one year the NAIAS. Everyone else is looking at their production cars and I'm drooling over this!
After a 71 year absence at LeMans, they win it on their 3rd attempt. Not to shabby.
