<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on PCH, Invasion Of The Hell Projects Edition: Three Alfas or Four Citroens?]]> I was all set to vote for the underdog Alfas, but upon reading the ads, the Alfas are likely too far removed from the project car side of project car hell.

Those Citroens, however are the most pure embodiment of PCH that I've ever seen.

Vive le France!

Jessi Combs.

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: Twin-Engine, Twin-Shifter Subueetle For 20 Grand?]]> It's ugly. I voted crack pipe, mostly due to the price. At $1k, it would be a novelty. And it is batshit crazy.

I can respect batshit crazy.

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on Toyota: Credit Not Responsible For Current Sales Slump, But Please Hurry Up And Fix!]]> Wow, Jim Lentz actually has a head on his shoulders. Aparently there is a voice of reason in these troubled times. Credit will never go away, if you have the means to repay a loan, someone will give you the money. That is how they make their money. Banks would go out of business really fast if they were unwilling to lend money.

If people would stop listening to the doomsayers and assess their own financial situation with a clear head, the market would turn around.

Unemployment is rising, but is still fairly low. Credit may be harder to come by, but if you can actually afford the payments, it's not impossible, and interest rates are still rediculously low.

Everyone panic, and we have further to fall. Everyone relax, and we can begin the rebound tomorrow.

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: Twin-Engine, Twin-Shifter Subueetle For 20 Grand?]]> Buy this and look down your nose at Prius owners for not having a "true" hybrid vehicle. You may have to bring a dictionary with you, and explain that since their Prius is all Prius, it is not a hybrid at all.

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on Monster Fiat: What Would Carrozzeria Bertone Think?]]> I'm not a big fan of the duallies on this X1/9, but otherwise the concept is faultless. If it was closer than Tennessee, I'd have to think a lot longer before deciding not to bid. (or email an offer, since the bidding has ended)

I've got a Fiero next to my Chevy K1500....

Stop giving me ideas!

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on PCH, No Escape From The SM Edition: One Citroen SM or Two Lancia Zagatos?]]> Yes, the Citroen would be worse hell. But I'm trying to figure out the logistics of getting two Lancias back to Michigan.

You have to want to subject yourself to the hell. The Lancias, I want.

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on Maserati Slips Into Rear Of Latest Top Ten Most-Researched Gay Cars List]]> So a properly enumerated list would read:

1. VW Rabbit
2. (tie) VW EOS and Mazda MX-5
4. (tie) Audi A3 and Mazda3
6. (tie) VW Jetta and Toyota Yaris
8. (tie) Saab 9-3 and Dodge Caliber
10. Volvo C30

The Maserati didn't make the cut.

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on Maserati Slips Into Rear Of Latest Top Ten Most-Researched Gay Cars List]]> So is this trying to generate a new stereotype where gay people can't count? You can't have 14 cars in a top ten list.*

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on How Much Did It Cost You To Fill-Up This Week?]]> $72 and some change on Saturday to put 21 or so gallons into my truck.

Glad that I can actually fill it now without hitting the $100 credit card shutoff.

I managed 13.7 mpg on that tank, which is better by almost 2 mpg than the last tank. Perhaps it will get better still when I replace my O2 sensors.

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on Lada Reveals A Supercar Concept! Wait, What?]]> I like it. "super" car might be overstating it, but 5.9 0-60 and 155 top speed is respectable for a driver. It probably gets decent mileage, and looks pretty good, too.

Bring it to the US for a decent price, but small quantities, and I'd buy one.

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on Live From Paris, It's The Diminutive Back Seat Of The Lotus Evora!]]> The weight may violate "add lightness" and the rear seats may be useful only as a parcel shelf, but dammit, I like the car.

<![CDATA[smalleyxb122 commented on Motorsports Race Tracks Make Out Big In $700 Billion Bailout]]> Track cost is a capital investment, and should be able to be written off. It's actually rather stupid that it can't be written off entirely within the year that the expenditure was made.

Business expenses are tax exempt. Not that complicated.
