<![CDATA[scottcom36 commented on What Defines A Bad Driver?]]> @MeMikeYouNot: Every driver in Las Vegas; they don't use turn signals, they weave in and out of traffic on the freeway and on surface streets, ALWYAYS exceeding the flow of traffic and ALWAYS with a cell phone clamped to their ear. I've driven in lots of major cities and this is the worst.

I think is's impossible for EVERYONE to exceed the flow of traffic.

<![CDATA[scottcom36 commented on Detroit News Lists Best From GM's First 100 Years]]> I have a soft spot for the 1977 GM B Bodies: Impala, Caprice, Lesabre, Electra, Eighty-Eight, Ninety-Eight, Catalina and Bonneville. Nearly a foot and a half shorter and 800 pounds lighter than their forebears, these cars were nearly as roomy as their predecessors and did just fine with small-block power. I'll take a '78 Caprice Landau coupe with the angled rear windshield, thanks.

<![CDATA[scottcom36 commented on For Sale: Clean Mazda Miata, Slight Water Damage]]> Yes the pool is suspiciously free of flotsam. But, although I've never owned a convertible, I suspect you need to keep it fairly clean so that all the crap doesn't blow out when you drop the top. Those McDonald's wrappers you're looking for in the pool would be long gone. Also, a nice car like a Miata would be more likely to be kept neat than, say a '91 Cavalier.

<![CDATA[scottcom36 commented on Ten Greatest American Police Patrol Cars]]> My first car (in '83) was a beaten '70 Coronet 440. I LOVE the front end styling, and liked the car, except that it was in such bad shape.
Got sooooo tired of trying to explain to morons that just because the MODEL is 440 doesn't mean that it has (or should have) a 440 engine. The 318 was just fine.

Also, in the '80's the Hampden Me PD ran Volvos

<![CDATA[scottcom36 commented on 1979 Ford Ranchero]]> Everyone goes on and on about low horsepower ratings in 70's cars due to emission regs. But these engines still had plenty of torque. A relatively low torque Camry engine would die a quick death in this vehicle.
