<![CDATA[zamafir commented on World of Warcraft Seems Like Kind of a Silly Hobby]]> $5700 a year? yeah, i'd much rather spend that on a car payment, gas, and canyon carving. Also, I hear actually going outside increases your chance of meeting females +1.

<![CDATA[zamafir commented on Apple Announces MacBook Event For October 14]]> I'd love to see the current model with quad core and support for 8gb memory, that'd get me to ignore the current sales going on (though $899 isn't tempting enough for a macbook, $699 is :P)

<![CDATA[zamafir commented on X Sting Wish Fire Extinguisher Turns Firefighting Into a Shoot Out]]> i love the primary pic on this post. anyone who's ever set one off knows you aim at the base of the fire... who's going to be fighting a fire starting off a shoulder height? bag of burning shit on the roof of your car?

<![CDATA[zamafir commented on 2009 BMW 135i, Part Three]]> "Still, NO car on that list comes close to the versatility offered by the 1er. No car on that list can go from competent canyon-carver to freeway cruiser to intown commuter to bicycle hauler IN ONE DAY with no accessories"

Really? The 09 WRX doesn't meet those qualifications? Granted, I was sure this review would bring out the fanboi in any bmw driver but that's just ridiculous. And yes, I've driven the 09 aggressively through the twisties and extensively on the freeway and carried my fixie in it in the same day. It's rather ironic really, pointing out Wes' unsubstantiated views then providing a quote equally as unsubstantiated and vague as that. Props to you for attempting to write in the vein of the review I guess.

/sarcasm.

<![CDATA[zamafir commented on The First Bill Gates + Jerry Seinfeld Microsoft Ad Makes No Sense]]> Um... let's see.. apple manages to create ads which both explain their products and features AND create rabid cues of fanbois to buy their products and Microsoft manages to create ads that... don't advertise anything? So... is this supposed to make me miss seinfeld because it wasn't funny.

And they're spending how much on these again?

<![CDATA[zamafir commented on Automatics Closing Fuel Economy Gap On Manuals; Engines, Electronics Lending A Hand]]> Wait, what. is this 2003? Finally beginning? <![CDATA[zamafir commented on Tallest Skyscraper in the World Almost Completed, Defies Belief]]> @Git Em SteveDave displays attention-grabbing vanity: The transfer of wealth from the US to the UAE has been the largest in the history of civilization, their money isn't going to run out, especially as the US tumbles deeper and deeper into recession and continues to need outside sources of capital to keep the housing market afloat or fund our various wars.

<![CDATA[zamafir commented on An In-Depth Video Tour of Android 0.9, an (Almost) Great (Almost) OS]]> It reminds me of vista. hey... osx has a nice interface, let's go head and flatter apple as much as we can without being sued. Same thing hear. sure it's not apple, but its obviously very much inspired by the iphones interface. i would have expected something more inventive from android than a mee-too iteration of the iphone gui.

<![CDATA[zamafir commented on Automotive News: Ford EcoBoost V6 To Cost About $700, Appearing On Flex, MKS Next Year]]> @SwatLax: I'm with you, ford already half a decade (to a decade depending on what car company you use as a point of reference) to the FSI and Bi-Turbo games, why not just drop a bi turbo 4 with fsi in every v6 powered sedan, here here. Might as well go all in if you're coming to the party later than most (save GM but that's moot).

<![CDATA[zamafir commented on Nikon D90's DSLR Video Capture Mode Confirmed In Pictures]]> @Diskoboy - right, there's a reason live view isn't, most prosumer and professional photogs don't see the need. Most of us use our bodies to produce shots for work or art purposes and aren't trying to grab a frame of the toddler playing with the dog in the back yard. I don't care if a body has video or live view. I'm a photographer. I own DSLR and SLR bodies. I like taking still pictures. There are still those who engage in photography as an art form, vs squeezing of thousands of frames hoping one might just come out, and most of us don't give a flying f what live view option a body has, it's pointless.
