People also seem to forget that their cellphones are now capable or recording very high quality video. For the past 2 years I have been using my N95 to record videos from track days, autocross, etc... That Nissan of theirs was an absolute cheater at the last Thunderhill race - I know plenty of other teams that voted for it as the peoples curse. The only reason it survived was that even more people hated Mazdasaurus.

Incidentally the first car in the pic is the Team Lemon Patrol Miata who were also running in the same run group - I dont know if they were testing for the 25 hours or for Lemons
I was at Thunderhill during their last test day and hand-timed one of their cars running consistent 2:10-2:11 laps on a cool day which is pretty damn good considering the SM lap record is 2:08
Those guys are by far the most aggressive and dangerous drivers out there - Instead of welding crap on their car Jay should just park the car for a few hours.
@Novaload: The VW bus is called the Highway 17 punishment. If you are bumping too many cars from behind you will have to drive 10 laps following the bus :-D
@Murilee Martin: Its a Yahoo Group ([sports.groups.yahoo.com]) for people participating in the various Lemons races. Is good resource if you are considering taking part in a race.
@FreeMan: Electronics that do not affect performance do not count. With twin ChaseCams and a DL1 our electronics were worth 4 times as much as the car :-)

As one of the drivers of the #44 I'd like to clafiry that our name is SFF1 BMW Sauber not SFFL. We were going for an F1 theme car which is why we painted the white nose and blue sidepods on the car
