"buying a used car that gets 32 highway miles, fits in any parking space, turns like a go-kart, feels like a BMW and still gets you laid (my girlfriend loves my car) for half the price of the prius: priceless.
my '04 mini."
"@Leonard Nimrod: they might just give you the app for free or for some nominal see, and then prevent you from using it without a subsciption password.
they can sell or give the app through app store, and sell the subscription on their own website.
unless apple threw something into the T&C's, then i can definitely see telenav doing that.
...that aside, where's the tomtom version at?"
"and, my opinion on the new software: i already planned on getting the iPhone 3G (my girlfriend has the regular iPhone, and it's great, but EDGE is a pain in the ass if you're watching youtube videos or listening to music over the web) and now that i see this, shit i want this phone."
"@bobdobbs: that's the way to do it!
i, for one, think that getting the color you don't want is an early adopter tax, and i'm glad as hell that if i even go iPhone, it won't be until august.
i want the phone, but i can wait a month if it means having the right color for the next 2 years."
"@donlphi: funny, i once had the idea that in iTunes, you should be able to hide certain apps from the main menu, but keep them in iTunes so you could re-add them later."
"so far, briefcase, facebook, possibly AIM (i want to see the same UI as they have in the texting app) and μSirius are the ones that really pique my interest."
"if this at all translates to a price-drop in macbooks, or a clearance sale on old MBPs (neither of which can happen, but i'm a dreamer) then i'm happy."
You do know you can un-brick your PSP using a Pandora's battery and a jigstick right? Even if you don't want to make them yourself (or can't), you can purchase PSP unbricking from ebay for like 20 dollars. Of course you'd have to mail it out and wait to get it back... Un-bricking is ridiculously easy. Don't let something as stupid as a bricked system stop you from enjoying your PSP.
