I'm not suprised he went crazy after losing to Griffin. I mean obviously the guy isn't the sharpest tack in the box. Going crazy in a truck with his picture on the side? Priceless. But overpaid? No way. He's a badass fighter. Anybody that can make money fighting in the UFC deserves it.

Then same thing was said about the current LaCrosse. Also, making cars with the exact same platform, dimensions, profile, fender haunches, etc. is the very definition of badge engineering, just like the Lambda crossovers.

I don't see why they put a SAAB grill on the 9-4x when they could have achieved the same effect by slapping a giant SAAB sticker on the Equinox.

I'm more suprised there aren't any (that I can find) aftermarket turbo options for the Cayman and Boxster. Still, assuming they kept the weight down, 320 hp should make the Cayman S boogie. Definitely my most desired sports car, hands down.

Either that or I'm just getting older and out of touch. The thing is, I usually like modern design or at least try to like it and I'd be among the first to criticize a company for being too conservative. Of course there are a few gems out there still. I think the Audi S5 looks great and the Alfa 8C and Maserati Gran Tourismo are none too shabby.

Don't you mean all 2 of them? Both of which were prototypes reconditioned to production vehicles. Then there is VIN# 4 which is in Europe somewhere and VIN#2 which was destined for Martin Eberhard but was crashed before it could be delivered to him. I'm sure there are still plenty of prototypes running around testing the gen 2 motor and transmission though.

As for the Bimmer in question, that quote is a ridiculous ripoff. $8K in parts for E36 climate control parts? The heater core costs $530 from the dealer and much less elsewhere and much, much less used. This company may have screwed up his car but he's trying to gouge them now.

You can increase the power of a supercharger by changing to a smaller pulley. Also with a roots style blower the low end performance is similar to a turbo but without the lag. They can produce very high low end torque. I'd still rather have a twin turbo though.

This is a perfect example of bad badge engineering. Bad badge engineering is creating 3 vehicles of the same dimensions, capabilities, price, and target market and setting them out to compete against each other for sales. The Buick Lambda is sufficiently upscale to justify its existence, but the 3 others are completely redundant. They serve only to drive the prices and profit margins for all of them down and few if any soccer moms could tell them apart.
