@myrtlebeachbum: You know what I suppose I stand corrected, I forgot that by the time it hit in 1970, it was gigantic but still considered a pony car for some damn reason even though it was very near the size of an Impala...

I was in my head considering the Camaro's class, against the Mustang, against the AMCs, against the Cuda

separating the Challenger out by dimensions, to be with the Chevelles, GTOs, 442s of the time...

so yea I guess I'm wrong, either way, since the mid-late 60s, the dimensions have come to mean nothing, especially the modern ones

So first thing i looked as was the weight to compare it to the challenger, then slapped myself on the head and remembered, technically THIS CAR DOES NOT COUNT FOR A MUSCLE CAR, IT IS A POOOOONNNYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

So no one should really compare it against the Challenger.. Mustang, yes....

up until July 1, my lady and I only had Avis cars as our vehicles, due to work contracts and arrangements.

needless to say, renting a car every week for 2 years gets you int preferred status quite fast and in all honesty, the longest it ever took us to get our vehicle was maybe 10 minutes and that was because the purchasing route our company uses had messed something up (or if I felt like driving a certain car and was picking :D)...

it really was as easy as get your crap, head to the garage, find yourself on the LED board, hope in, play with buttons and get to gettin.

So basically, is this a huge development other then they are respecting the preferred folks globally now?

I heard rumors they actually used it in the first Transformers (it's about cars that are really big robots!)

so if anyone can find a copy of that (library microfilm maybe), I believe it's the character honeybee or bee-bot, it looked so out there no one thought it was real!

@UDMan: but that would make the situation even worse!!! CA and its like, will still have individual neutering laws, because federal restrictions would take forever to pass and enact, let alone get remotely approved...

Also, raising the entire bar up to better styling, purchase options, and having global parity would seemingly make it less devastating to not sell a million cars of one model like the General did in 65 with the Impala (btw was reading some reference book from 1965 yesterday in my lovely library and there were 8 MILLION cars built in Q1-Q3 in 1965 by just the big 3... no wonder the nicknames.. SHIT!)
