I wonder if this thing still allows it to be driven on the street or if the emissions will make it a track only type thing. If it's street legal, that would be a pretty incredible amount of power for a daily driver.
@sprale: That always gets me too. I get about 50mpg on my '78 Cx500, nothing special. The real point is those kind of people dont care about mpg, just the fact that they can talk about ''my hybrid''.
@DennyCraneDennyCraneDennyCrane: The model line up sure would be interesting. I'm sure everything in the line up is offered with a wagon option and engine displacement measured in cubic donuts. Also, I think there would be a conspicous lack of slushboxes.
Maybe I just dont get it, but I say nice price. The thing looks amazing, only 244 built and its not too expensive, although 8900 is getting on the pricey side. Plus, I'm a sucker for green metal flake.
@British_Looks_British_Reliabil...: Yeah I can do without the red funkyness goin on on most of them. In my mind you can never go wrong with blue and white.
@JC Whitless: I think since they are monocoque construction it would be hard to shoehorn in a vette sized drivetrain, especailly since those are FWD. Plus if you want to test out that drivetrain the vette has similar aero characteristics you'll end up with in production.
I doubt you're gonna see a convertible car break 300 mph. If this isn't another ponzi scheme I bet you will see a totally different car once the design is underway.
I love the madness of this car. Worlds biggest V8 with a supercharger on 1/2 inch frame tubing. And Schwinn wheels up front turned by one rod from the steering wheel. Must've been one crazy thing to drive.
