<![CDATA[noliebro commented on Five Reasons Why We're Not Proud To Buy American Cars]]> @delsydsoftware:

on the money as well, what a great incite... There are some decent American cars still out there that are finally being produced, GM is now at their best in several decades(ref 99' Malibu vs. 08' Malibu or entire Saturn brand)...but people still remember the god-awful 80's and 90's..most people ages from 18-30 remember how crappy those car were and now have a strong bias against them

most of these reasons are valid but one huge thing that is killing ALL CAR COMPANIES domestic and foreign is the ridiculous industry change brought about by gas prices...you can expect gas to increase in price, but not like this..American companies were making the cars that a portion of the population bought in droves( SUV's, F-150) and then that whole sction of the market dies in 5 months..you can't forsee that, Honda and Toyota didnt(see Tundra)..they have always made small cars since they crossed over so dont pat them on the back for thinking ahead..they merely did what they have been doing for 40 years

in conclusion...not trying to give excuses; I honestly see this period as a great way to force good cars out of detroit; but for a major industry shift like this to happen and we blame them for making "American" cars ( see 50's- 70's, see large american sedan, see american truck)...blame the industry and blame the death of the "american" consumer

<![CDATA[noliebro commented on 2008 Mazdaspeed3, Part One]]> @c0de:

I drove this car a couple times and it has a bit more than a little understeer...it was nearly impossible to drive hard into corners without praying that you wouldn't die coming ou the other side...IMHO the new SRT4 is a better handling vehicle and deals with the understeer a little better...but the dodge definatly is the opposite of stealthy

<![CDATA[noliebro commented on Pop-Punk: Dead Or Not?
