@MinardiGP: I used to drive on all the time. Now there's an old one half a mile down from me that is a daily driver. Only issue with it is the pink and silver paint scheme. Just awefull
@CABEZAGRANDE: They have upgraded the A-10's with new avionics and laser designators. I can't quite remember if they got new engines or not though. The wings and hard points were also replaced. Essentially they built new ones out of the old ones. The new designation is A-10C i believe. The arguement for replacing them with F-35-16's went out the window when we went into Iraq and Afghanistan. The troops love em so much that the Army was going to take them from the Air Force if they ditched them. So fear not, the Gau 8 lives on.
I enjoy the difference between the US and Japanese drift cars, aside from the Scion V8 most of them are light and turbo'd out. In the US we just say screw that and throw a bigger engine and let the pig slide.
I watched this yesterday, and the best races were ProMOd. Most of the Top Fuels or Funny Car races smoked out and only had a few full runs. There was one Top Fuel four wide that was the best race win I've seen in a long time.
All in all I'd say four wide is the best drag racing I've ever seen.
I want a Raptor but this is actually more usefull here in Maine. But to be honest I would use neither to their ability, so I'm gonna stay with my Frontier
Even though I love this car I am still daydreaming of a second hand 2011 base V6 in a few years. Low teens for a 300 hp V6 with 6 speeds and all kinds of tuner support to make my very own pseudo track day car.
It's because of you Jalopnik that I look toward an old Datson and wonder if a Jag V12 would fit in that.
Jalopnik I never realized what you meant until you left for a short time. I've cheated with Autoblog, because I felt I had to, and I'm sorry. You are back and giving me all I need. You are my one true Automotive Porn site.
I Love You
My parents bought a 95 green SVX in 1997. I used to drive the hell out of that thing on back roads and never had a problem. They sold it a few years later and I've always wanted one of my own. There is one in my town now, painted white and pink but is the persons daily driver if you can believe it.
@DonLuc: As standard practice I tear out all hard advertisements. If I cant flip to the page I want it drives me nuts. It makes Mens Health magazine kinda sad, it is very thin after my neurotic need is fullfilled.
