like J Lo this thing has too much going on in the trunk department
i have had mine for nearly three years, so its time for something new, probably a Citreon c6, Passat R36, or M5 (the wifes choice not mine). Whatever it replacement is, it needs to deliver similar levels of odd ball cool!
Pistonheads reported that they only sold four of them in the UK last year!
mine was £4,400 in 2009 from a list price of £35,000 in 2002, falling faster than an Air France flight over the atlantic...
I think the 2cv beautifully sums up frances socialist leanings, its a car for the people, delivered at a subsidy by the government to the benefit of the masses.
Sure the aristocracy where swanning round in citreon DS's, traction avants and bugattis, but at least they gave the peasants something to drive too!
there is even one near mythical super charged one, made by the matra factory as a prototype.
Its just sold on French ebay, i wish it was mine!

Great choice
I think this will one day replace the avantime!
you forgot the C6, also lovely, also sadly rubbish,
thats why they only sold four in the uk last year!
Still cant convince my wife that this would be the perfect match for our avantime - in just this colour!
Yeah baby

I love the idea and the theory, but my only point was that wars are not won by the military anymore, look at Afghanistan, Iraq, Northern Ireland etc.
Wars are won by talking and dialogue, not dropping expensive metal onto peoples homes...
I hope you are joking here - recent evidence shows that you dont need an organised military to win a war, just a lot of blokes with weapons hiding on street corners is enough!!
I did want to raise Health and Safety, risk mitigation concerns with this, but it seemed to be missing the point of the awesomeness of the photo!
we are heading to north korea for four days over easter (after a wedding in China).
I will be sure to provide a jalop story as a follow up, maybe you will still need those tickets?
the beauty of extending the axle so the tires are right outside the original body of the car is a work of art.
