"@Wes: Gotcha So the ZR1 instills more confidence that you could escape from a mistake if you get too close/over the edge? I have a car that doesn't instill that confidence and one good side effect (not touting this as a feature - only a side effect of fear) is that it keeps the assclownery/hoonage (and resulting misdemeanors) down on the street."

First, a you pointed out the current design is a 2003, and even with the Viper coupe in street trim, neither a new ZR1 nor a GT-R offer "considerably greater track performance." Some, perhaps, but not "considerably" more."
