true, but UP is not so much saying that as highlighting their role in the hybrid/ethanol economy. which i think is more coincidental than intentional. or perhaps serendipitous, if i'm in a real thesaurusy mood...
Can you email me a picture? debord@jalopnik.com
It was! The Auto Show has cooked my synapses.
Heh heh. Actually, I thought the game really recreated L.A. well--I remember being so distracted by the beautiful long shadows of a palm tree at sunset that I took out a few more pedestrians and wrecked the Saleen, again.
No, I don't think so, not this time. I'm going back to Pong.
Stay tuned.
Actually, he was more or less honest about the need to make cuts. And he spoke of how many families depend on Chrysler for their livelihood. He says they ended 2007 with a bil more in the bank than the turnaround plan called for. And he did detail some kinda broad strategic initiatives, involving new launches in 2008--the Journey, for example--and some bizzy stuff involving production, dealerships, China.
He did mention the Nissan partnership, to produce a B-segment car, badged under the Pentastar, based on the Versa.
I made a little error with the HTML in the postl, linking to your commenter page, but it's fixed now. Apologies.
Thanks for the deep dive. My understanding is that the "Wiedeking and the Porsche/Piech" clan do want to bust the "bolshy" union--and how many of those are really left these days? makes me want to interview Bernd--but that it's a higher priority for Piech.
You are correct--and now so will we be.
Thanks very much.
They were Fiats.

It's definitely hoonable--not that I'm recommended such behavior. I think it also has a great driver control-to-overall value ratio.
I'd like to see a picture of that.
You watching "Mad Men" on AMC? I actually thought of Douglas Sirk when I first saw the leaves picture.
Mary M. rides shotgun.
I like a sunroof, too. The Forester has a nice one.
It's not oppressively plasticky, but it's not soft-touch, either. I like the seats; main complaint is with dash materials, storage compartments between the front seats (didn't get into that, but I didn't think it was super-well-crafted). It's well put-together, just not remarkable. I wouldn't describe it it as incredibly solid, either, and it's disadvantaged somewhat by the more upscale-looking design, which I don't think will weather as well.
