Gawd, I love the Interwebs.
Someone pass the breakfass scotch.
However, you're not going to get pulled over for it...unless the cop is a dick, desperate for revenue, or he's looking for a reason, anyway (See the first reason).
The state of Texas, best I can tell, considers the entrance ramp to be part of the freeway. So, if your lane is ending, it's up to you to figure it out/adjust. #oppositelock
It is the responsibility for those getting on to get up to speed, and find a place, period.
Yeah, it's difficult at times. This can be made more so by lack of cooperation from those on the freeway, already.
However, daily, I see some douchebag rocketing to the end of the lane, cutting someone off, when there's plenty of room earlier on. #oppositelock
Though...I think, between the dirt and the tinted cover (PO's, though I've not yet removed it), I managed to avoid some tolls on the Bush.
Tangent: I really wish traffic reporters would work "the bush" into traffic reports.
"Oh, it's not an Afternoon Delight on the Bush today..."
or
"This morning, you're going to have a tough time getting on the Bush..."
Yes, I'm 43, but still an adolescent in a few ways. Humor is one of them, though movies like The Hangover have no appeal to me.
I'm an odd duck.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Supercharger sandwich. #oppositelock
These are the general issue plates to start in August.
I have come very close to springing to a plate which is black and white, just so I can be rid of the stupid looking ones on the car, now. #oppositelock
I think my plates expire in August, too!!!!

Agreed on the star, however. Remove the Texas state shape and put a small, solid star in there, like worked JUST FINE in 1969.
Keep. It. Simple.
I dread to think how much this will cost the state.
/facepalm
Can't find a pic, however.
I admit, people get creative incorporating them into OEM housings. I turned the reversing lights on my '86 Nissan 720 pickup to be amber turn indicators. Probably one of the very few around, which was converted by the owner.
Needless to say, I feel strongly about separate turn/brake indicators.
The inner ring of LEDs of the inner light is white...reversing lights.
The outer one is amber. Turn signals.
To have integrated stop/turn/tail lamps is stupid. One for stop, one for turn, one for tail, this way, if one stops working, only one indicator is affected.
OH, WAIT! IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT ALWAYS HAS! EVERYONE PANIC!
That's the reason for the LED's over in Europeville. This allows them to integrate amber turn indicators.
I'd get a pair of Euro taillight housings for my STS, which have amber LED indicators in addition to the red US ones, but they're rather difficult to find and I'm a bit short of disposable cash after figuring up my taxes.
Eventually, I'll find some.
Amber turn signals...the ONLY way to go.
I really like the idea, but it's not done quite right. No diesel available, for starters.
I've had the machine pictured above...well, one like it, that's not ours...in some surprisingly deep snow.
ABS + air brakes = weirder than normal lack of feel
I was playing with the ABS, so I knew what it felt/sounded like.
Nothing was the answer. Well, I could kinda feel it through the steering, but I knew it was there.
I like to think of it more as a moving lane-change, but that's me.
Anyway, they started dumping stuff in the crankcase, while it was running, as the penalty.
It kept running.
Eventually, it was cheered back out on to the track. I cannot find the details of the penalty/punishment, all directed solely at the car, but it's around. I want to say it was in the 2010 season, but I'm not certain.
