@Mike Austin: Er, nevermind, we've already reported on this. There is a 210-hp 1.6-liter turbo coming for the Veloster. I'm guessing we'll get it in the US eventually. [blog.caranddriver.com]
@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: No, we'll make sure to only print the stories where we say every single car is horrible flawed and could only have been made by idiots who, frankly must have never even driven on a track or they'd know how to make a real vehicle. Also, hilarious pictures of internet memes.
@GV_Goat: That makes me very sad. How do they package them now?
To a point, yes, hemming and hawing over a few tenths of 0-60 times is academic. You probably can't tell the difference without some kind of measuring device, and yes it get pretty abusive. Plus if you get a launch wrong you can lose about half a second. So yes, 1/4-mile tells us a little more about performance, but both are only pieces of the overall picture.
Our staff is pretty much the same, we're just making sure the fun we have translates all the way to the page. Former editor Don Sherman has returned as Technical Editor. And you'll see PJ again soon.
@seanmcr6: I will say this one more time. I, and every other writer in our office, have nothing to do with the ad department. The whole conspiracy that people think exists simply doesn't. But then again that's what they want you to think.
@smokyburnout: 1) Sam just left the press room. Do you want another story like that? 2) I have no idea. Spinelli has a cousin that could get you those for like two hundred bucks, max, he'll get you the number.
